The Therapeutische Frauenberatung is an autonomous association, NGO, founded in 1984 with round about 40 members.

There are five active workers (therapists, counsellors, supervisor, administrator/PR) with various psychotherapeutical and educational backgrounds based on Humanistic Psychology and Feminist Therapy.

This means:
We believe in the women's strength and support them in their approach to live their lives according to their own needs.
We do draw a connection between women's physical and mental conditions and their life situation in the society.
We do not only work individually, we also pay attention to the social and political conditions of women in the society.
We offer:
counselling and information about psycho-social institutions
information about in-patient offers and clinics
psychological assistance for crisis management
psychotherapy and counselling
trauma-therapy
counselling for lesbians
support for self-help-groups and therapy-groups
supervision for professionals
further education and lectures mainly in the field of violence against women
networking with regional, national and international organisations
partnership in international projects concerning our spectrum of issues
   
We support women
who have experienced sexual abuse and any kind of physical, mental and sexual violence
who have had traumatic experiences.
who suffer of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, contact problems, psychosomatic disorders, self-injuring-behavior, dissociative disease
who have conflicts in their relationships and/or loss of orientation at different life stages

You best can reach us personally during the consulting hours:
Tuesdays 17.00 – 19.00 h
Thursdays 11.00 – 13.00 h

The counselling session is free of charge and open to all women.
There is no need to make an appointment.
For further counselling or therapy sequences the charge depends on the income of the client.
Handicapped women can use an elevator.
